HERD has partnered with leading stylist Rachel Bakewell to bring to life this six piece capsule knitwear collection bursting with femininity and romance.

Carefully designed and made in England, from Bluefaced Leicester wool, this considered edit is made within 150 miles from soil to skin in N.W England and is free from chemicals. The organic cotton ribbon is created using plant dyes.

"I was first drawn to HERD because of their truly sustainable ethos - there is no harm, waste, or unnecessary travel, with everything being made naturally using the finest wool here in England. Being part of the design process and bringing garments to life has been incredibly special and I have enjoyed every moment! This edit of six pieces created alongside Ruth incorporates my love of bows and pointelle to create my dream knitwear that I will wear for years to come. It's the perfect balance of comfort, romance and style with an enduring quality and sustainability."

The collection came together over the course of a year, from initial concept meetings in London, visiting factories for fittings in the Midlands and dye houses in Yorkshire to shooting on the beach in St Leonard’s on Sea on the south coast of England. 

Detail - The RBxHERD Bonnet is knit in a diamond pointelle with bobbles, and tied with a thick knit ribbon around the neck. 

Wool - The RBxHERD Bonnet is made from our very own fully traceable, super soft Bluefaced Leicester sheep wool, which we source ourselves at a fair price from farmers in N.W. England, and then make into yarn within 150 miles of the farms. Some shades are undyed, using blends of cream and brown Bluefaced Leicester fleece. When dyed, we only use plant extracts and naturally occurring mordants. 

Washing - Wool requires minimal washing. Hand wash in cool water if needed. 

Size & fit - The RBxHERD Bonnet is one size. 

Colours - Available in Ecru, Anthracite (very dark brown/soft black) and Lilac.
