Rooted - How Regenerative Farming Can Change the World. By Sarah Langford.

**FIRST 10 COPIES ARE SIGNED BY AUTHOR**

Personal note from HERD founder: To take on the task of bringing regenerative farming to the masses required a person with the ability to absorb and analyse massive amounts of lengthy and complex documentation, the charisma to infiltrate a group of people who have learnt to mistrust those in charge and the sense of humour not to be defeated by it all, and fortunately the mission has Sarah Langford at its' helm. This book brings you right into the world of farming and in a charming voice, tells you everything you know, don't know, thought you knew and wish you knew about where our food comes from through the human stories of those who grow, rear, harvest and butcher it and gives us the template of a way of farming that will heal us all again. Synopsis - When barrister and author Sarah Langord left her city life behind she found herself unexpectedly back in the world of farming. It was not how she remembered. Instead, she saw farmers dealing with very different problems to those faced by her grandfather, considered a hero for having fed a starving nation after war. Now farmers faced accusations of ecological mismanagement by a hostile urban media whilst battling extreme weather and political upheaval. Yet as Sarah learned how to farm and grow closer to the land, she discovered a new generation on a path of regenerative change.

in Rooted, Sarah weaves her own story around those who taught her what it means to be a farmer. She shines a light on the human side of modern farming, and shows how land connects us all, not only in terms of global sustainability but in our relationships with our physical and mental health, our communities and our planet.

About the Author - Sarah is author of the Sunday Times bestseller In Your Defence. For ten years, she worked in criminal and family law in London. in 2017 she moved back to Suffolk and, together with her husband, took on the management of his small family farm, an experience she wrote about in her book Rooted.
