Knit Pattern: Christmas Stocking

The pattern for this lovely Christmas stocking is now available from Herd Wool.

Knitted using 3 x 50g balls of Herd Wool's soft 100% Bluefaced Leicester DK yarn from the top down and in the round with 4.5mm needles, the finished length of the stocking is about 45cm.

The instructions are emailed to you and provide a colour chart for the two colour fair isle pattern.

Casting on with an easy to knit picot edge and finishing with a barn toe, it's a great introduction to sock knitting which produces a beautifully elegant festive knit that can be brought out year after year.

Wool to be purchased separately. 2 x balls of the colour which will be used for heel and toe, and 1 x ball for the pattern. Image shows 2 x balls of Ecru and 1 x ball of Loam yarn.
