Knitting Pattern: Christmas Stocking

The pattern for this pretty Christmas stocking is now available from Herd Wool.

Knitted using 3 x 50g balls of Herd Wool's soft 100% Bluefaced Leicester DK yarn from the top down and in the round with 4.5mm needles, the finished length of the stocking is about 45cm.

The instructions are clear and provide a colour chart for the two colour fair isle pattern.

Casting on with an easy to knit picot edge and finishing with a barn toe, it's a great introduction to sock knitting which produces a beautifully elegant festive knit that can be brought out year after year.
