1. A Good Airing Does Wonders
Wool is amazingly naturally antibacterial, which means it shrugs off stains and scents. Spot clean when necessary and give your knit a good airing before deciding if it needs washing.
2. Hand Wash Only
To wash your HERD knit, hand wash in cool water. For small marks, spot clean. When washing, be sure not to agitate the knit too much in the water - wash gently and lightly. Dry flat on a towel on a drying rail.
Use a wool-approved detergent to keep your knits looking their best. Never use biological detergent or bleaches on your HERD knits.
3. Safe Storage
Store away from direct sunlight and in a dry place.
4. Protect Against Moths
Moths love dark corners so always store knitwear in airtight boxes. For the real fanatics (like us!), get a wardrobe bag and cycle your knitwear through your freezer over the summer for a week at a time.
